Tutorial
Enable employee self-service
Open the Employee record and confirm its employment status is Active.
Before you start
Manage employee records and the employment lifecycle, recruit applicants, plan attendance, administer leave and payroll, and route employee requests. Private HR and payroll information remains restricted to authorized users.
ERP links open in a new tab. Sign in with your own account; record visibility, actions and approval authority follow your assigned permissions. Screens can differ by company and configuration.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open the Employee record and confirm its employment status is Active.
- Set User ID to the employee’s actual enabled ERP/portal user. Verify the company and organizational assignment.
- Review supervisor and approver responsibilities and the roles needed for employee self-service.
- Ask the employee to sign out and back in to employee.nexcommand.ai, then verify their own information.
Check the result
Return to the saved record or relevant list and verify the intended values, links and status. Check the role-restricted portal or report when it is part of this task. A successful save, approval, submission and external payment are different events.
Troubleshooting
The Employee access required message indicates a missing/inactive Employee link or account mismatch. Do not solve it by sharing another employee’s login.
If the task is blocked, record the page name, operation, error text and time. Contact Support through an authorized channel. Remove passwords and unnecessary personal information from screenshots.
