Create and link a customer

Open Customer and add the customer name, type, group and other required information. Save the master.

Before you start

Move from prospect and opportunity to quotation, confirmed order, delivery, invoice and collection. Maintain customer records, pricing, contracts and portal access alongside the commercial workflow.

ERP links open in a new tab. Sign in with your own account; record visibility, actions and approval authority follow your assigned permissions. Screens can differ by company and configuration.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open Customer and add the customer name, type, group and other required information. Save the master.
  2. Create or open an Address. In Links, select Customer and the exact customer record, then save.
  3. Create or open the Contact and link the same Customer. Add the correct communication details.
  4. Review Address & Contact on the customer. Set the primary address/contact where appropriate.

Check the result

Return to the saved record or relevant list and verify the intended values, links and status. Check the role-restricted portal or report when it is part of this task. A successful save, approval, submission and external payment are different events.

Troubleshooting

Matching an address title to the customer name does not create the relationship. The Dynamic Link row is required.

If the task is blocked, record the page name, operation, error text and time. Contact Support through an authorized channel. Remove passwords and unnecessary personal information from screenshots.
