Record a workflow with Guides

Open the installed NexCom Guides extension in Chrome. For an unpacked installation, choose Load unpacked and select the chrome-mv3 folder.

Before you start

Create and deliver courses, manage learning and assessments, issue configured certificates and connect training to employee skills. Workflow Guides supports recording and sharing process instructions.

ERP links open in a new tab. Sign in with your own account; record visibility, actions and approval authority follow your assigned permissions. Screens can differ by company and configuration.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open the installed NexCom Guides extension in Chrome. For an unpacked installation, choose Load unpacked and select the chrome-mv3 folder.
  2. Start capture only on an approved demonstration workflow. Use synthetic or non-sensitive data.
  3. Perform the steps, stop recording and review the captured screenshots and instructions.
  4. Redact secrets and personal information before exporting or sharing the guide through the permitted destination.

Check the result

Return to the saved record or relevant list and verify the intended values, links and status. Check the role-restricted portal or report when it is part of this task. A successful save, approval, submission and external payment are different events.

Troubleshooting

The extension is not a file you run from Windows. Browser permissions apply to capture; do not record passwords, payroll or private applicant documents.

If the task is blocked, record the page name, operation, error text and time. Contact Support through an authorized channel. Remove passwords and unnecessary personal information from screenshots.
